Hello, amsterdam!

Amsterdam was one of my favorite cities. Every time I saw a canal it reminded me of the Fault in Our Stars. The city was so lively, everyone rode bikes and there were so many activities to do.

WHAT TO DO
Van Gogh Museum was one of my favorite museums. I suggest buying tickets online, but if those are sold out there is a ticket booth near the IAMSTERDAM sign. Do not wait in the long line outside of the museum because thats what all the tourists do and its 1-2 hr wait. As you're walking towards the museum you will see the ticket booth.
Vondelpark is a great place to have a picnic, bike around or just relax. If you plan on biking around, MacBike is a good place to rent bikes and ride around the city like a local.
Heineken Experience is a great place to go if you want to learn more about the origins of Heineken and get free drinks. Order tickets online and go around 5pm. It isn't as crowded and at the end of the tour you get two free tokens for beer. You can enjoy it on the rooftop with a panoramic view of Amsterdam.
Red Light District is a very different yet fun experience. Would not suggest taking your kids here, but for older people its fun to grab some wine and walk through the district and observe.
Nine streets is a fun shopping area with cool thrift stores and amazing brands.
WHERE TO EAT
Albert Hjein- This market was our bestfriend and also the reason why we averaged about $10 a day in Amsterdam. Their food is so fresh and cheap
Van Soest- delicious little gelato place
Little Collins- great place for brunch. I recommend the Avocado toast(even though it sounds basic its actually dank as fuck) and the sweet potato waffles.
