The vibrant colored houses, narrow canals, and beautiful blue water set the mood for the perfect summer destination in Venice, Italy.

Bridge of Sighs passes over the Rio di Palazzo and connects the New Prison to the interrogation rooms in the Doge's Palace.
Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica are in the same area. They're both beautiful but during tourist season this area is extremely crowded so I recommend going at night. During night time there are symphonies that play outside of each restaurant at St. Mark's Basilica and its so peaceful.
Gondola Rides are pricey but its a once in a life time experience. If you want the experience and want to pay less you can go in groups of up to 6 where you go with other random tourists. This actually isn't too bad because you can talk them into taking group pictures of you and your friends.
Murano is about a 30 minute water taxi, but this is where all the glass factories are. When you hop off the boat people will guide you to their factories where you can watch them shape the glass.
Cannaregio is a great spot for pictures. Its a little canal that has a amazing scenery of Venice.
